We at Highroller take pride in our passion for what we do and our first class user experience will translate into conversions, revenue and money. Our affiliate team has over 30 years’ experience in the business and they know how the industry has gone through phases where affiliates have been kept in the dark and even cheated out of their hard-earned money.  That’s why we at Highroller emphasise transparency with our marketing partners. WHAT IS AN ONLINE CASINO AFFILIATE?

Anyone with their own web page, really! Actually, you don’t even need that. A social media account will suffice, as long as you don’t break any terms and conditions. All you need is a corner of the internet that you can call your own and you’re good to go! Online casino affiliates come in many shapes and forms, but they all understand that there is money to be made from promoting online casinos. Casino affiliates promote casinos in exchange for a fee or shared revenue of the players they send to your website. Only the imagination limits the ways affiliates do marketing. A banner with a link, online adverts, promotions in social media – you name it. In the Internet Age, online casino marketing has become ever more important as opposed to traditional linear marketing, such as TV ads. The obvious reason for this is the change humanity is going through in terms of consuming entertainment. The trend is that people are moving from traditional TV to streaming services, social media and other online spaces. If you want to reach the consumer, be where they are. They are online.

A CRASH COURSE IN GAMBLING AFFILIATION

Promoting online casinos as an affiliate is inherently easy to get into and tough to master. As mentioned, you need a space on the Internet in order to be able to market something or someone. After registering with the Highroller Affiliate Program, you will receive your very own b-tag, a marker that lets us know that a player did in fact come to us from one of your links. How you choose to market Highroller, is entirely up to you. We will help and guide you along the way.

INDUSTRY TERMS AND WHAT THEY MEAN

Revenue Share – Often shortened to just “revshare”, the most common form of compensation a casino affiliate receives. If one of your players spends money in our casino, we will pay you a percentage of our net earnings. It’s just as it sounds, we share the revenue. Typically, the more players you send to us, the bigger your cut.

CPA – Stands for Cost Per Acquisition. In this case, a casino affiliate will receive a set amount of money for every depositing player they send to the casino.

NGR/GGR – Net Gaming Revenue / Gross Gaming Revenue. Net Gaming Revenue is the money the players spend in the casino minus bonus costs and administration fees. Gross Gaming Revenue is the casino’s earnings before deducting bonus costs and administration fees.

Hybrid Deals – An online casino affiliate hybrid deal is usually a combination of different forms of compensation. Typically, a casino affiliate with a Hybrid Deal receive a lower revenue share plus an amount per player they send (CPA).

No Negative Carryover – An important term regarding Revenue Share. If one of your players wins big, it will affect the affiliate’s bottom line for that month. Some casinos will “punish” affiliates for winning players and the affiliate will have to work off that win in its entirety. No Negative Carryover means that you start each month with a clean slate. What happened last month does not matter. Affiliate deals at HighRoller are done on a monthly basis – our marketing partners are paid promptly every month and we practice No Negative Carryover. We just don’t believe in it.

Bonus fees – Online Casino Bonuses are a common practice in the business and the bonus fees a player accumulates will be deducted from the players they send
