Responsible Gaming

Responsible Gambling

Enjoy Highroller with Play Safe.

We at Highroller take our commitment to provide a responsible gambling environment and our duty of care very seriously. For the majority of players gambling is related to fun and excitement, but unfortunately, for some gambling has negative side effects. In medical science, pathologic gambling has been recognized as serious sickness for many years.

Since our first day we thought about this challenge and tried our best to help. Under Responsible Gambling, we include multiple steps of measures, with which a gaming provider can help minimize the possibility of negative side effects. In case they already appear, we also try to take proactive steps against them.

The most important instruments against negative side effects from gambling are knowledge and education about the risks of gambling and to support our players’ self-control in order to make sure they do not suffer from such negative side effects.

With Play Safe we want to enable your most comfortable gambling environment.

Limits

You can set your very own limit that suits your needs best. Out of deposit, loss or wager limit, you can choose any limit for daily, weekly or monthly periods, so you can keep enjoying HighRoller on a level that is comfortable and enjoyable for you.

Net Deposit Limit
This allows you to limit the amount of funds you can spend in a week and/or a month. The limit will only allow you to make deposits up to the chosen limit amount and in addition you can also deposit the amount equal to any withdrawals made during this period.

Example: You set a $50 Net Deposit Limit and then you deposit $50 to your HighRoller account. The limit will restrict any further deposits during the chosen time period. If you withdraw $100 in the same period of time the limit will allow you to deposit a further $100.

This is how the limit works:

  • Weekly Net Deposit Limit: This limit sums up all successful deposits and withdrawals made between Monday 00:00 CET and Sunday 23:59 CET.
  • Monthly Net Deposit Limit: This limit sums up all successful deposits and withdrawals made between the first day of the month 00:00 CET and the last day of the month 23:59 CET.

For example: You have set a weekly limit of $100 and make a deposit on Tuesday of $40 and another deposit on Friday of $60. You will not be able to make any more deposits until Monday 00:00 CET. If you have a withdrawal of $200 in the same week (lets say on Saturday) the limit will allow you to deposit another $200 until Monday 00:00 CET. On what day of the week you set the limit does not matter since the limit will take the full week into consideration.

Please note that only successful deposits and successful withdrawals in the chosen period are taken into consideration.

Loss Limit
This allows you to set a limit on the amount you can lose while playing on the Website within a certain period. The limit refers to the net value of the loss amount, which is why the loss limit is deducted from the starting amount for the session on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The limits come into effect from the moment you set them.

This is how the limit works:

  • Daily loss limit: this limit sums up all bets in a day (00:00 - 23:59 CET).
  • Weekly loss limit: this limit sums up all bets of the current day and the last 6 days
  • Monthly loss limit: this limit sums up all bets of the current day and the last 29 days

Unsure what amount suits you best? This little calculator can help you find the perfect balance:

+Your income
-rent / mortgage
-utilities
-groceries
-other
=Your personal budget

Your limit should not exceed your personal budget.

Time Out

Sometimes, you find yourself in a situation where you are having too much fun. Plain and simple. What you need is a time out. Our time out service allows you to cool off in the heat of the moment. This option allows you to take a break for 24 hours or 7 days. You will not be able to access your account in that time period.

Self-Exclusion

Sometimes you need a longer break from gambling, whether you just want to restrict your game for a longer period of time or if gambling becomes something else other than fun and entertainment. If you feel that gambling is affecting you negatively we encourage you to take a longer break if you feel that this may help you.

We offer the option to self-exclude for 2, 3 or 6 months. Once the period chosen by you has elapsed your account will reopen automatically and you can login again.

In addition to that we also offer an indefinite self-exclusion option which means that you can close your account without an automatic reopening. The account will stay closed for a minimum of 1 month and only reopen if you wish for it to be unlocked again by contacting our customer services through Live Chat or email at [email protected]

If you wish to self-exclude please contact our customer services through Live Chat or email at [email protected] Please note that a self-exclusion request via email is not immediate, we will confirm the self-exclusion to you by email once it is in place.

Not sure if a self-exclusion is the right option for you? Just contact our support team through Live Chat or email at [email protected]

During self-exclusion you are not allowed to create a new account and every attempt to create a new account during self-exclusion is a violation of our terms of service and may result in the permanent ban of your original account.

HAMPI Self-Exclusion List

If you feel gambling is affecting you negatively we strongly recommend you to close any gambling accounts you may have and register with the HAMPI self-exclusion list. More information about blocking HAMPI and how to submit a request can be found behind this link: EMTA setting gambling restrictions

    3. When you gambled, did you go back another day to try to win back the money you lost?
    4. Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?
    5. Have you felt that you might have a problem with gambling?
    6. Has gambling caused you any health problems, including stress or anxiety?
    7. Have people criticized your betting or told you that you had a gambling problem, regardless of whether or not you thought it was true?
    8. Has your gambling caused any financial problems for you or your household?
    9. Have you felt guilty about the way you gamble or what happens when you gamble?

Helpful Hints For Responsible Gambling

Only spend what you can afford to lose.
Before you start gambling, think about how much you can afford to gamble with according to your financial situation. Set limits so you can ensure you don't spend too much. Play with amounts which are for fun and for your entertainment.

Do not try to win back a loss at every cost.
Try to not take too huge risks to win back what you lost before at any cost. Gambling is for entertainment and should never be considered a source of income.

Play smart.
It is smarter to not play, when you are extremely stressed, depressed or under too much pressure. Also do not play when you are under the influence of medications, drugs or alcohol (don’t drink and gamble).

Take breaks.
You should take breaks when you notice that you get tired or can't concentrate anymore. Sometimes you also just need to cool off in the heat of the moment.

Only one account.
To make it easier to have an overview of how much time and money you spend on gambling it is highly advised to not create more than one account per Person.

We reserve the right to request proof of age documentation from any client at any time and to suspend any accounts until this is provided. We further reserve the right to forfeit all transactions and return all deposits to anyone under the age of 18 years.

If you share your computer with people under the age of 18 years, we recommend a filter program to avoid minors, especially children, to access any context on the internet, which is not healthy for them.
